Country Roots Boudie Studio is a body positive, transformative boudoir experience for all shapes and sizes. We believe in the therapeutic power of our sessions and believe every woman should celebrate and accept herself, just as she is. This is more than sexy photos in pretty lingerie with beautiful hair and makeup, this is art that proves you are brave, strong and can conquer anything. Beneath all of the layers, there is a woman who deserves to fall in love with herself, with no apology. Let me introduce you.
Questions I get asked all the time...
I decided to compile a list of answers that I get asked the most. I know a boudoir session can be SUPER DUPER intimidating at first and most women I work with are coming in for the first time... so I hope this is helpful!
WHAT IS THE COST?
The entire 3-4 hour boudoir experience is $250 which includes hair and makeup, access to my ever growing client closet, a photoshoot with full posing assistance, and a private viewing and ordering session the day of your shoot. We offer Collections, as well as A La Carte Sessions so that we are able to fully customize your day with us leaving you with the best products for your individual lifestyle. Our pricing begins at $800 and goes up from there with various options available. Typically our clients invest anywhere from $1600-2500 in their experience with us. We offer all of our clients interest free payment plans to make any experience "budget friendly."
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Heck yes! We offer interest free payment plans for up to 12 months! They're super simple and flexible to set up and we can make your dream session a reality even if you kind of got sticker shock reading about our pricing. We are always happy to discuss payment plan options on the phone prior to booking if you would like! All you have to do is set up a consult on our "Contact" page! No obligation required!
DO YOU EDIT ALL OF MY IMAGES?
Editing and Photoshop is included in our image pricing, but you are going to be amazed at how great you look with our "less is more" approach. all of the final purchased images will receive the custom CRP edits that make our images POP! We can edit out things like pimples, bruises, scratches, undereye, skin texture or redness, etc. We can do some nip-tuck, but with our expert posing and lighting skills it is usually not necessary. We do offer additional retouching services at no cost on things like cellulite, stretch marks, and scars, but we always leave those decisions up to you. You are beautiful just the way you are, no matter your age or size and we want to emphasize your natural beauty! Posing is key, as is communication. We all have our self perceived flaws, so let's work together to help you look and feel your best!
IS HAIR + MAKEUP INCLUDED?
ABSOLUTELY! Professional hair, makeup (lashes!!) are included with the session fee. My hair and makeup artists are AMAZING! Whether you have a specific look in mind or not, these ladies got you! The only thing you need to do is arrive to their shop with clean and dry hair + face and the girls will highlight all your natural beauty amplifying your Queen status! Super easy.
WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU OFFER? CAN I SEE THEM?
I have samples in the studio so you can see and feel all of your different options when you come in for your session.
The folio box is a wooden "engravable" box OR a rose gold glass box that holds 10 (or more!) fine art images printed on recycled velvet paper (my favorite!). These are perfect for display or to keep private.
Metal prints are a sleeker, sexier canvas. They have a gloss finish and the colors really pop. They come ready to hang! There's just something about seeing an image blown up and hanging on the wall. I always suggest your bedroom wall, walk-in closet or bathroom so you can get a daily dose of your hotness!
Albums are something people are a little more familiar with. Each album is handcrafted and comes with your choice of genuine leather cover and a set number of images. A bonus option is the awesome acrylic covers!
I offer 8x8", 10x10" and 12x12" albums.
DO YOU SHARE MY IMAGES?
Not without your consent! I highly encourage you to share your images in my amazing all women Facebook group so you can receive their love and support, but I will never share images that you aren't 110% comfortable with me sharing. I will say though, most women are thrilled with their photos and are excited for me to share them!
I'M AWKWARD, WILL YOU HELP ME?
Hell yes! I will direct you from start to finish in how to pose, what to do with your hands, feet, face and when to breathe! I will tell you exactly what to do, even modeling poses for you myself so you can see exactly what to do!
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR MY SESSION?
I highly recommend taking a day prior to your session for a mani/pedi! Treat yo' self queen! Exfoliate, moisturize and drink a ton of water the night before your session! Last, but not least, get that beauty sleep. Ok, maybe one more thing. STRETCH before you come! :) Don't wear any under garment or clothes that will leave lines the day of your session either.
WHAT DO I BRING?
Most clients bring the bare minimum. I highly recommend each of my clients to bring 1 black thong (yes, please don't forget this!) and even 1 nude thong. That's it. You wear these under your Client Wardrobe for an added layer of protection. Some optional items I love to photograph that you can bring are a nice, cute, matching bra and panty set, fishnet stockings and clothing options such as sweaters and t-shirts. Shoes and jewelry are also a great way to add some personality to your session, so I always love when people bring those too!
SHOULD I GO TANNING?
Please, no spray tans 4-6 weeks before the session!! It stains our white bedding and couches and it does not photograph well. We also discourage the use of tanning beds 2-3 weeks prior to your session.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Our permanent studio location is located just west of Keosauqua, Iowa about 3 miles on J40. We are 30 minutes from Fairfield, Memphis and Bloomfield. Ottumwa is 45 minutes and Burlington is an hour away! We do offer select outdoor sessions throughout the year. I am also available to travel! Did someone say girls party boudoir session?!
